Green Education
Green Education is a partnership project of three schools from three different countries of European Union: Czech (Žďár nad Sázavou) , Denmark (Rosklide), and Finland (Ivalo).
The aim of the project is to obtain knowledge of the current environmental situation in each country involved in the co-operation. This will provide the students with skills on different aspects concerning energy and sustainable natural resources. Pupils will share their knowledge and experiences and together they will try to improve their part in becoming careful users of natural resources.
Pupils will gain knowledge about European environmental issues, with a focus on two main topics:
1) recycling
2) production and use of energy.
The project will be divided into two periods over the two years.
Year one: Pupils will collect information and work on recycling and energy resources within their own country and partner countries. The data will be available on the project website. Teachers will share their experience and making drafts for the co-operation.
Year two: Pupils will go further in the study and the co-operation with the topics and focus will be on how to implement recycling and saving of energy at schools, local households and spreading out their ideas to the local community.
Pupils involved in the project discover themselves as capable of affecting their surroundings as citizens in a democracy and as humans in a global world. Through virtual meetings they achieve knowledge on each other regional environment.
